Mirrors
The wall’s mirror asked why
I didn’t lean
breathlessly
to examine
closely
or stand puffed back
admiringly
and I asked
would it sit
in a puddle conspiring
shortly
a rippling breeze
where it replied
surely
I smiled wait for me
then
it’s just rained
