Mirrors (poem)

A Quadrille prompt this week at dVerse Poets comes from Lisa who asks us to fashion our latest 44 word poem including the word “puff”.

Mirrors

The wall’s mirror asked why

I didn’t lean

breathlessly

to examine

closely

or stand puffed back

admiringly

and I asked

would it sit

in a puddle conspiring

shortly

a rippling breeze

where it replied

surely

I smiled wait for me

then

it’s just rained

  1. Stephen, I could really use some of those puddled mirrors here. When it does decide to rain I’m going out and running it.
