Both Feet (poem)

Quadrille prompt at dVerse Poets this week from De Jackson, whimsygizmo, was to use the word “Jump” in our latest 44 worder.

Both Feet

I try not to gun or conclude

Not on command or through hoops

But might in a lake leaving no foot behind

if minding bikinis and bones soon entwined

And this won’t then be of a shark   

This jumping would be one to hark

    Nice twist at the end Stephen, you negate the common and expected jumps and land in one to hark, well played.

    Excellent! LOVE all of the “jump” phrases within. Especially these first lines:

    “I try not to gun or conclude

    Not on command or through hoops”
